Nelson Stolicker

Nelson Stolicker Sr., age 93, of Palms, died Tuesday June 9, 2009 in Autumnwood of Deckerville. He was born May 16, 1916 in Downington, the son of the late George and Mattie (Hunter) Stolicker. He married Miss. Mary Dawson on October 21, 1937 in Sandusky. Mr. Stolicker was a life long farmer. He and his wife were members of the Deckerville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed collecting rocks, hunting, and woodworking, along with being with his family. He is survived by his wife Mary of Palms, two sons Nelson and Phyllis Stolicker, Harold and Ruthie Stolicker all of Deckerville, one daughter Ms. Minnie Gillem of Hillsdale, nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Tom Stolicker, five brothers, and two sisters. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Nelson Stolicker will be 1:00 PM. Saturday in the Apsey Funeral Home, your ?Legacy of Life? funeral home. Rev. Robert Srock will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 PM.
