Anna Eickholdt, age 88, of Deckerville, passed away Tuesday May 24, 2016 in Autumnwood of Deckerville.
She was born July 26, 1927 in Bowling Green, OH, the daughter of Julius and Hedwig (Soltyszak) Figurski.
On July 19, 1946 she married Wesley W. Eickholdt in Northville. He preceded her in death December 25, 2005.
Anna grew up in Detroit and attended Dixon School. She was a USO volunteer during WWII. She worked for the Mattel Toy Corporation in Detroit and later worked at Waterford Township School and Waterford Mott high School. She enjoyed bowling, cross stitching, and cross word puzzles. She was a member of St. Perpetua Church in Waterford.
Mrs. Eickholdt is survived by two sons and one daughter, Pamela (Richard) Spencer of Deckerville, Mark (Sharon) Eickholdt of Brandon Township, and Keith (Lisa) Eickholdt of GA, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Laura Morelan of Lake Leelanau and Mrs. Mary Freeman of Berkley, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son Kevin Eickholdt, two sisters and two brothers.
A graveside service to honor the life of Anna Eickholdt will be held at 11:00 AM., Wednesday June 1, 2016 at Solon Township Cemetery in Cedar, MI. Fr. Ken Stachnik will officiate.
Arrangements are by the Apsey Funeral Home.
