Benjamin Maxfield Obituary

Benjamin L. Maxfield, age 22, of Sandusky, died Wednesday May 2, 2018 from injuries sustained in a deer-motorcycle accident.

He was born June 17, 1995 in Sandusky, the son of Eric and Elizabeth (Kaiser) Maxfield.

Benjamin grew up in the Sandusky/Snover area. He attended the Sandusky schools, graduating in 2013. He was a former employee of Goetze Dairy since before graduating high school, and he was currently employed at Rathmourne Dairy Farm. He enjoyed, motorcycles, snowmobiles, trucks and anything with an engine. He was active at the Sanilac Career Center in the automotive department.

Ben is survived by his parents, Eric Maxfield of Snover, Elizabeth Maxfield of Sandusky; one brother, Stephen Hurley of Carsonville; one sister, Jennifer Brace of Dewitt; his fiancée Melissa Schultz of Carsonville; his paternal grandparents, Vaughn Maxfield of Croswell and Gloria Maxfield of Lapeer, maternal grandparents, John and Karen Kaiser of E. China Township; several Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service to honor and reflect on the life of Benjamin L. Maxfield will be held at 5:00 PM., Sunday May 6, 2018 in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Garavaglia will officiate. Burial will be in Moore Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM., Sunday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the Sanilac Career Center.
