Betty Camilleri Obituary
Betty Jean Camilleri, age 80, of Deckerville, died Tuesday November 26, 2013 in her home.
She was born February 27, 1933 in Kentucky, the daughter of the late William and Pairzitta (Watson) Lidster.
She married Luther Caudill in 1949, he preceded in death in 1976, she then married John Camilleri on July 8, 1987.
Mrs. Camilleri was a very religious lady who read her bible every day and took it with her wherever she went. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, gardening, cooking and making designer photo books. She also worked for the Coleco Toy Co., making clothes for the Cabbage Patch dolls.
Betty Jean is survived by her husband, John Camilleri of Deckerville, two sons, Thomas (Tina) Caudill, Terry (Donna) Caudill, two daughters, Donzitta Hageman, and Millie Rogers, all of Ohio, one step-son John Camilleri of Lapeer, and two step-daughters, Yvonne Camilleri of Brighton and Valerie Camilleri of Westland, twenty grandchildren and thirty two great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, three sisters, Josie Fink of Deckerville, Mary Little and Margaret Smith both of KY.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, James Wilson and Shaun Damron, two daughters, Judy Boles and Wanda Caudill, four sisters, Mildred McCown and Juanita Frost, Edith Hill, and Lorene Goodman, three brothers, William Lidster, Thomas Lidster, and Luther Lidster, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Betty Jean Camilleri will be 1:00 PM., Monday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Brother Larry Camilleri will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 pm., Saturday and 2:00-8:00 pm., Sunday.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
