Carla M. Pierson, age 48, of Deckerville, passed away March 26, 2017 in the Deckerville Community Hospital.
She was born August 14, 1968 in Deckerville, the daughter of the late Gerald Sr. and Bertha (Cockrell) Anglebrandt
She married Ward Pierson on August 19, 1995 in Deckerville.
Carla grew up In Wheatland Township and attended school at Deckerville Community School and graduated in 1987. She enjoyed playing BINGO, cards and crocheting, along with being with her family. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Deckerville.
Carla is survived by her husband Ward of Deckerville, one son Ward Pierson Jr., also of Deckerville; two daughters, Ann Ward and Rose Pierson both of Brown City; two grandsons, Eldon and Owen Pettit; two brothers Gerald Anglebrandt Jr., of Deckerville and Kevin Anglebrandt of Sandusky; four sisters Barbara Sturgis of Harbor Beach, Kim Baerwolf of Deckerville, Darlene Anglebrandt of Deckerville, and Charlene Gentner of Sandusky; several nieces and nephews; and her mother-in-law Mrs. Valorie Pierson of Minden City.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Gifford and Ricky Anglebrandt.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Carla M. Pierson will be 1:00 PM., Friday in the 1st Presbyterian Church of Deckerville. Pastor Mark Garavaglia will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00-9:00 PM., Thursday at the Apsey Funeral Home, and 11:00 AM., until the time of service at the church on Friday.
Memorials may be given to the Family Discretionary Fund.
