Daniel L. Pozsgay, age 64, of Columbiaville, formerly of Deckerville, died Wednesday December 23, 2020 in McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital, Lapeer.
He was born March 1, 1956 in Deckerville, the son of the late Steve and Audrey (Morell) Pozsgay. He grew up in Deckerville and graduated from Deckerville High School in 1974.
On September 2, 1978 he married Ms. Cindy Bright. Together they moved to Columbiaville and raised a son and daughter.
For 32 years he worked for GM at the Lake Orion Plant until he retired in 2009. He enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley, and spending time with his family and friends.
Dan is survived by his wife Cindy of Columbiaville; son Jason Pozsgay of Columbiaville; daughter Stephanie (Kyle) Boldt and granddaughter Emilia all of Brighton; mother-in-law Bonnie Bright of Deckerville; brother Steve (Virginia) Pozsgay of Deckerville; sisters Irene Fuller of Lexington, Bonnie (Larry) Ross of Ubly, Audrey Parrott of Luzerne; sisters-in-law Marsha Pozsgay of Deckerville, Kathy Bezemek of Deckerville, Sherrie Armstead of IN.; and brothers-in-law Gary (Doreen) Bright of Deckerville, and Steve (Vicky) Bright of Sandusky; as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Pozsgay in September of this year; father-in-law Robert Bright; brothers-in-law Harold Fuller, Bill Parrott, and Ernie Bezemek.
A public visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday December 30, 2020 from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM in the Apsey Funeral Home.
