Doris Deike Obituary

Doris J. Deike, age 78, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Monday June 28, 2021 in her home.

She was born December 10, 1942 on the family farm in Delaware Township, the daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Martha (Warczinsky) Deike.

Doris grew up in the Minden City area and graduated from Harbor Beach High School in 1960. She attend college in Port Huron for two years and worked at Port Huron General Hospital in the pharmacy. She later moved to Cass City and worked for General Cable for several years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Doris was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Palms, and a member of the Ladies Aide.

She is survived by her sister Ms. Marjorie Deike of Cass City; her brother Charles Deike Jr., of Vassar; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and sister-in-law Eugene and Aieleen Deike.

A graveside service took place 11:00 AM Thursday July 1, 2021 in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor Henry Hales officiated.

Memorials may be made in Doris' honor to the St. John Lutheran Church 6600 N. Ruth Rd. Palms, MI 48465.
