Duane Nichol Obituary
Duane E. Nichol, age 83, of Carsonville, died Monday March 15, 2021 in his home.
He was born October 22, 1937 in Sandusky, the son of the late Thomas and Velma (Rich) Nichol.
On June 20, 1964 he married Miss. Lois Lake. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2020.
Duane worked for Rich Well Drilling and Marlette Homes. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and hunting.
He is survived by two daughters, Debra Sias and Pauline Nichol both of Ft. Gratiot; one son Thomas Nichol of Carsonville; two grandchildren Christopher Fahs and Adam Guiger; one brother Dale Nichol of Carsonville; two sisters, Janice (Raymond Butch) Woods of Croswell and Carrie Smeader of Carsonville; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Taylor, Lola Wood and Laura Carpenter.
A private family graveside took place on Thursday March 18, 2021 in the Downing Cemetery.
Donations in honor of Duane may be given to the Sanilac Humane Society.
Arrangements were by the Apsey Funeral Home.
