Lillian Thayer Obituary
Lillian I. Thayer, age 91 of Deckerville, passed away Wednesday September 28, 2016 in Autumnwood of Deckerville.
She was born March 16, 1925 in Richmondville, the daughter of the late Russell and Mable (Colter) Barr.
Miss. Lillian I. Barr married Archie Thayer on the morning of June 1, 1944 in Sandusky and graduated that afternoon from Deckerville Community School. Archie preceded her in death October 10, 2013.
She was a member of the Deckerville United Methodist Church. Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed Square Dancing and crafts.
Mrs. Thayer is survived by one son Ted (Barb) Thayer of Deckerville, one daughter Mrs. Diana (Jeryl) Waun of South Branch, four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, one sister Eleanor (Hayden) Stone of Deckerville and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother Varion Barr.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Lillian I. Thayer will be 1:00 PM., Friday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Harriman will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM., until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
Memorials may be given to United Hospice.
