Marie Lizak Obituary
Marie Roselyn Lizak, age 79 of Deckerville, died September 25, 2016 at Emerald Crest Assisted Living, Minnetonka, MN.
She was born February 17, 1937 in Forester Township, the daughter of the late Leslie and Susie (Innes) Sweet. She grew up in Forester Township and attended school at Deckerville Community Schools, graduating in 1954. She worked as a comptroller at Midwest Rubber Company for 22 years. She loved gardening and her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Port Sanilac and St. Joseph Catholic Church Sandusky.
Marie married Theodore (Ted) Lizak in 1970. Together they raised five children, Ted J. Lizak, Mike Lizak, Lowell Noble, Rod Lizak and Kristine (Lizak) Raasch, twelve grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She is also survived by one Brother Jay Sweet and sister-in-law- Eileen Sweet.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, Port Sanilac on August 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM., Father Donald Eppenbrock will officiate. Burial will follow the mass in New St. Mary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the church.
Memorials may be given to Dementia treatment and support groups.
