Mary Stolicker Obituary
Mary C. Stolicker, age 98, of Palms and Port Richie, FL, passed away Sunday October 9, 2016 in Autumnwood of Deckerville.
Mary was born September 26, 1918 in Minden Township the daughter of the late George and Mary (Walker) Dawson.
She married G. Nelson Stolicker on October 21, 1937 in Sandusky. He preceded her in death June 9, 2009.
Mary was a former employee of Yale Rubber. She enjoyed sewing and puzzle books and being with family and friends. She grew up in Deckerville and attended school at Deckerville Community School, graduating in 1937.
Mrs. Stolicker is survived by one son Harold (Ruthie) Stolicker of Palms and one daughter Ms. Minnie Gillem of Lander, WY, nine grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Minnie Jaresky of Port Richie, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son Nelson Stolicker Jr on June 23, 2016, one grandson Tom Stolicker and one great granddaughter Shelby Hammack, three brothers Charlie Dawson, Jim Dawson, and Harold Dawson, four sisters Elizabeth Van Sickle, Annabelle Maier, Sarah Lake, and Jean Nuske.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mary C. Stolicker will be 11:00 AM, Thursday in the Apsey Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Griggs will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday and from 10:00 AM, until the time of service on Thursday.
Memorials may be given to the Downing Cemetery or the Tom Stolicker Scholarship Fund.
