Mona Tobi Obituary
Mona June Tobi, age 92, of Deckerville, died unexpectedly Sunday November 28, 2021, in her home.
She was born August 8, 1929, in Deckerville, the daughter of the late Lorne and Inez (Brown) Rich.
She married John J. Tobi on January 21, 1950, in Deckerville.
Mona worked for the Deckerville Community School for 26 years in the Guidance Office. She enjoyed Golf, sewing, baking, and looking at pictures of her grandchildren. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Deckerville.
She is survived by her husband John of Deckerville; one grandson Ryan (Kelly) Flanagan of Deckerville; two granddaughters, Lisa (Don) Lieb of South Lyon and Lorie (Chris) Soule of Croswell; five great grandchildren McKenzie and Madison Heft, Branden and Courtney Soule and Emilie Flanagan; and son-in-law Larry Flanagan of Deckerville.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Yvonne Flanagan; two sisters, Luella Rich, and Lillian Williamson; and one granddaughter Alexandria Heft.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mona June Tobi will be held Wednesday at 3:00 PM in the Apsey Funeral Home. Ms. Deb Olds will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service on Wednesday.
Memorials may be given to the 1st Presbyterian Church of Deckerville.
