Raymond Twiss Obituary
Raymond Bryant Twiss, 91, of Deckerville, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side on January 6, 2021.
Raymond was born in Forester Township on November 23, 1929 to the late Walter and Mary (Hardy) Twiss. He married Grace Breidenbach June 16, 1961. Raymond was a lifelong resident of Deckerville, a member of the East Marion Baptist Church, graduate of Deckerville High School, and worked at Yale Rubber, but his true passion was owning and operating his farm. He enjoyed hunting, Deckerville Football, and history, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Grace, of 59 years, daughter Shirley, sons Leigh and David, granddaughter Monet; and many nieces and nephews,
He was proceeded in death by his parents and siblings, Clinton (Jean) Twiss, Donald (Doris) Twiss, Evelyn (Cecil) McConnell, and Emily (James) McGregor.
Services for Raymond will be at the Apsey Funeral Home, Monday January 11 at 11 am with visitation Sunday January 10 from 3-7. Burial will be in East Marion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor David Frost will officiate.
Memorials may be given to East Marion Baptist Church, Deckerville Football Program or Heartland Hospice.
