Rodney Harold Stolicker, 61, of Palms passed away on Sunday October 29th, 2023.
Rod was born July 19, 1962, in Deckerville to the late Nelson and Phyllis Stolicker. He married Jody Cass on February 15, 1989, in Las Vegas. Rod graduated with the Deckerville Class of 1980. Upon completion of high school, Rod joined the family farm. Rod could often be seen driving his gator around for crop checks drinking a diet Dr. Pepper, listening to swap shop. Even a family vacation could not deter him from visiting an area farm and learning how it operated. When Rod wasn't farming, he spent his winters in Florida, at the Villages. While there, he and Jody, would put the hours on their golf cart exploring, listening to bands, and eating good food. The years have been filled with snowmobiling, deer hunting, and ping pong. All of which he spent doing with his wife and children.
As he joined the ranks of Papa, he spent his time teaching his grandchildren how to run John Deere farm equipment, and bringing over every baby animal he could catch.
Rod is survived by his wife of 34 years; children, Brandon (Ashley) Stolicker of Deckerville, Krista Stolicker of Palms; grandchildren, Adalyn and Luke Stolicker; brothers, Dave (Jo Anne) Stolicker, Dale (Kathy) Stolicker; mother-in-law, Laura Cass; brothers in law, Jeff (Tricia) Cass, Jason Cass; Uncle Harold (Ruthie) Stolicker; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Tom Stolicker, Howard Stolicker; and father-in-law; Lloyd Cass.
Burial services are entrusted to Apsey Funeral Home, Deckerville.
A graveside service will be held at Downing Cemetery, Deckerville, on November 08, 2023, at 11:00 am. Family and friends welcome.
