Wilbur Baughman Obituary
Wilbur Frank Baughman, age 89 of Deckerville, formerly of Palms, passed away Friday, April 04, 2014 at Deckerville Memorial Hospital.
Wilbur was born on May 17, 1924 in Palms to the late Frank and Christina (Lapp) Baughman. He was raised and farmed the same farm in Palms his entire life. He was a member of the Deckerville United Methodist church and was proud to be Salutatorian of the Class of 1942, and had the 2nd milking parlor in the county. He enjoyed reading and traveling after his retirement.
Wilbur is survived by a sister Helen Thompson of Royal Oak, Nephews: Mike Broughton of Ann Arbor and Alan Broughton and his wife Martha of Port Sanilac, niece Connie Broughton McGregor of Clare, 2 great nephews and 5 great nieces.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Carrie Broughton and Ethel Baughman.
Funeral Services for Wilbur will be Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11 am at the Apsey Funeral Home of Deckerville, with Rev. Monique Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Downing Cemetery. Visitation for Wilbur will be Monday at the funeral home from 3-8pm and on Tuesday beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am.
Memorials may be given to the Educational Foundation of the Deckerville Community Schools.
