Betty Medcoff Obituary
Betty C. Medcoff, age 86, of Deckerville, died Tuesday December 22, 2020 in Autumnwood of Deckerville.
She was born January 17, 1934 in Applegate, the daughter of the late Jacob and Theresa (Koch) Heberling.
On October 24, 1959 she married Donald Medcoff in Port Sanilac. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1994.
She grew up in Carsonville and attended school in Sandusky graduating in 1951. She enjoyed sewing and playing cards. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aide, Deckerville Community Hospital Auxiliary and sang in the Peace Lutheran Church Choir.
Betty is survived by one son Charles (Yasmin) Medcoff of Troy; three daughters, Barbara Falstad of AZ., Caroline Medcoff of Troy and Diane (Fred) Lentner of Sandusky; One sister Mrs. Nora Wawrzyniak of Avoca; Five grandchildren, Matthew and Laura Lentner, Jason and Katarina Medcoff and Danielle Falstad; Sixteen nieces and nephews; and special friend Herman Behnke of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by one son Thomas Medcoff; one sister Marie Smith; and two brothers, Robert and Paul Heberling.
A private family service was held on Tuesday December 29, 2020 in the Apsey Funeral Home. Pastor Bryan Hopfensperger officiated. Burial was in the Downing Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Peace Lutheran Church, Deckerville Community Hospital or Autumnwood of Deckerville.
