Constance Schenck Obituary

Constance (Connie) A. Schenck, age 74, of Deckerville, died Sunday March 30, 2014 in Port Huron Hospital.

She was born September 24, 1939 in Croswell, MI, the daughter of the late Orville and Dorothy (Gage) McNames.

She married Bruce Schenck on May 6, 1961 in Croswell.

Mrs. Schenck was a former employee of the Deckerville Community Hospital. She was active with her children In Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. She enjoyed her family, along with watching Wheel of Fortune, working word puzzles, and gardening. She was involved In the United Methodist Women's Society, and a member of the Forester United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husand, Bruce of Deckerville, one son Michael R. Schenck of Deckerville, two daughters, Mrs. Michelle (Wm.) Bumstark of Croswell, and Ms. Denise Schenck of Port Huron, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert McNames and Jerry McNames, and two sisters, Mrs. Betty Emerson and Mrs. Jeanette Meneghin.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Constance A. Schenck will be held 11:00 AM., Saturday in the Forester United Methodist Church. Rev. Ellen Schippert will officiate. Burial will be in Forester Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial may be given to Forester United Methodist Church.
