Jean Margaret Meldrum, age 81, passed away Saturday April 6, 2024, in Autumnwood of Deckerville.
Jean was born May 27, 1942, in Detroit. She attended Roseville Schools. She and here husband Howard Meldrum were long time residents of Sanilac County. Jean worked and retired from Midwest Rubber Company of Deckerville and her and her husband owned and operated the Golden Fawn Bar in Argyle.
Jean was a member of the Deckerville Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the Deckerville Project Blessing.
She is survived by her two children Max (Stephanie) Nagey and Jeanette (Roger) Hooper; four grandchildren, Kali Hooper, Austin Hooper, Steven (Katherine) Nagey, Nathan (Sarah) Nagey and three great grandchildren, Tyler, Bradley and Noah and her sisters, Linda Brown and Sue Seisseger and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard on June 30, 1999; her father and mother Eldor and Dorothy (Chapman) Zessow and her sister Carol Seirens and her niece Coreen Seirens.
Funeral services to honor the life of Jean Margaret Meldrum will be Wednesday April 10, 2024, at Noon in the Apsey Funeral Home. Pastor Jerry Griggs will officiate.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 9, 2024, from 3:00-8:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00-Noon.
Memorials may be given to the Deckerville Community Hospital Auxiliary.
