Kenneth Swoffer Obituary
Kenneth D. Swoffer, age 76, of Deckerville, died Monday January 18, 2021 at the home of his son with his family around him.
He was born August 20, 1944 in Detroit, the son of the late Ralph and Irma (Smith) Swoffer.
Ken grew up in the Carsonville area and graduated from Carsonville High School in 1963. He was a former employee of DOTTS manufacturing. He served on the Deckerville Fire Department for 45 years and enjoyed hunting and NASCAR.
He is survived by his daughter Tanya Swoffer of Lexington; 2 son Philip (Angela) Swoffer of Croswell and Jason Swoffer of Carsonville; grandchildren Brandon and Ashley Swoffer, Aaron Swoffer, Kaylee Swoffer all of Deckerville and Cory Swoffer of Lexington; Step-grandchildren Sarah Kautz and Jacob Kautz; one great grandson Braedin Swoffer; sister Judy (Bob) Sobotka of IL.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Don Swoffer.
A graveside service will be held to honor the life of Kenneth D. Swoffer on Friday January 22, 2021 at 1:30 PM., in the Dowing Cemetery. Pastor Mark Garavaglia will officiate.
Visitation will be from 11:30 AM. until 1:00 PM Friday in the Apsey Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the Deckerville Fire Department or United Hospice.
