Lisa Haberl Obituary

Lisa S. Haberl, known affectionately as Lisa to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024, at Autumnwood of Deckerville, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on August 1, 1960, in Warren, Lisa's zest for life, infectious laughter, and compassionate spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Lisa graduated from Tower High School in Warren in 1978, where she was known for her academic diligence and genuine kindness. She continued her education at St. Clair County Community College School of Nursing, a testament to her lifelong commitment to caring for others. Her professional journey as a dedicated nurse began and flourished at Trilogy Nursing Home in Romeo, where she provided unwavering support and comfort to her patients and their families.

Her loving husband, Jeffery Haberl, stood by her side through all of life's twists and turns, and together they raised two wonderful children, Karl (Lee) Haberl and Kathryn Haberl. Lisa's role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, instilling in her children the values of love, resilience, and the importance of family. Her sister, Coleen Maxwell, shared an unbreakable bond with Lisa, filled with laughter and cherished memories that will be held dear forever.

Lisa's life was one of joy and service, and her heart was truly happiest while tending to her garden. Her hands, always nurturing, coaxed life from the soil and filled her home with the beauty of blooms and the bounty of harvests. Her love of cooking was another passion, one that brought her family and friends together around the table to share in the comfort of her delicious homemade meals. Antiques held a special place in Lisa's heart, as she delighted in the stories and history that each unique piece carried.

Lisa's passing was preceded by that of her parents, Harold and Delores (Zaleski) Saleski, and her brothers, Harold and Dwayne Saleski. She leaves behind a legacy of love and the warmth of her memory in the hearts of those who loved her.

As we say our final goodbyes to Lisa, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of light and love. Her unwavering kindness, empathy, and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Lisa's life will be honored and remembered in a ceremony attended by her closest family and friends the date to be later in May. She will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township a place as beautiful and serene as the life she lived. As the sun rises and sets, we are reminded of Lisa's enduring spirit and the impact she made on this world.

In her memory, we hold tight to the recollections of her bright smile, the sound of her laughter, and the warmth of her embrace. Lisa S. Haberl's story is one of love, dedication, and the profound difference one person can make in the lives of many. Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day.
